Brand & Positioning
Before we spend a dollar of your budget, we make sure your story is worth telling.
Most brands don't have a positioning problem — they have a clarity problem. We dig into customer interviews, competitor analysis, and market context to find the angle that makes you genuinely different. Then we turn that into a voice, visual identity, and message stack your team can use everywhere.
This engagement is a fit if…
- You can't answer 'what do you actually do?' in one sentence without caveats.
- Your homepage and your sales deck don't sound like they're about the same company.
- You've raised a round (or are about to) and the brand needs to match the ambition.
- You're about to spend real money on marketing and want the story straight first.
You're growing, but the way you describe yourself is holding you back. Maybe every page of the site says something slightly different. Maybe the sales team is using language the marketing team would wince at. Maybe you can feel that the product has evolved past the brand, but rewriting the positioning yourself would take six months you don't have.
A rhythm, not a slide deck.
- 01
Listen
Ten to fifteen customer interviews, a handful of conversations with your closest competitors' customers, and deep time with your sales team. We look for the language that's already working — the sentences that make heads nod — before we write anything new.
- 02
Frame
We draft a positioning thesis: who you're for, who you're not for, what you stand for, and the two or three things that make you genuinely different. It's short enough to read in a meeting and specific enough that your team can pressure-test it.
- 03
Write
Voice and tone guide, a message architecture your team can lift from, headline + subhead for every page you actually have. We write it so a copywriter, a designer, or a CEO in a pinch can all sound like the same brand.
- 04
Apply
We rewrite the highest-leverage surfaces first: homepage, sales one-pager, pitch deck, onboarding emails. Then we hand you the system so everything you ship next — not just what we touched — is on-brand.
Deliverables, not promises.
- Positioning & messaging brief (board-ready)
- Brand voice & tone guide with worked examples
- Visual identity refresh (or full system, where scope allows)
- Customer & competitor research synthesis
- Rewritten homepage + sales one-pager
- Message architecture template for future surfaces
What it looks like in practice.
The ones that come up every time.
Do we need to do a full rebrand to work with you on positioning?
No. Most engagements start with messaging and voice only. Visual identity work only happens if the existing system is actively holding the brand back — and we'll tell you honestly whether it is.
What if we already have a brand guide?
Great — we'll read it on day one. If it's working, we build on top of it. If the team has quietly stopped using it, we find out why before we write a new one.
How long before we see revenue impact?
Positioning doesn't move revenue on its own — it removes friction from everything else that does. Expect to feel the impact in sales call close rates and marketing CPL within 60–90 days of the rewritten surfaces going live.
Think this is the right fit?
Send a note. We'll reply within a business day with an honest take on whether we're the right partner — and if we're not, who might be.
